LEGION BREWING

In 2022, Legion opened our largest production facility in west Charlotte. The top-of-the-line Braukon brewing system changed the game for Legion, allowing us to grow exponentially. The 17,000-square-foot space houses a state-of-the-art laboratory, a Krones 24 head filler packaging line, and the largest warehouse cooler in the city. Although Legion is projected to produce approximately 18,000 barrels in 2023, our brewhouse has the ability to produce 100,000 barrels per year. Legion distributes beer to the greater Charlotte Mecklenburg area and surrounding counties, including York County which lies just over the border of South Carolina.
QUALITY INGREDIENTS
Carolina Malt House
Much of the grain used in our brewing process is sourced from Carolina Malt House, located in Cleveland, NC.
Riverbend Malt House
Some of our favorite brews are made exclusively with Riverbend Malt, sourced from Asheville, NC.
Yakima Quality Hops
Our brewers visit YQH in the Pacific Northwest to select the hop varieties
used in our beers.
Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation
Beer is 95% water, and Legion’s water comes from the Catawba River basin. We support those fighting to keep our water safe and clean.

Legion offers tours of our production facility on Saturdays by appointment only.
During your brewhouse tour, you will be led through our production facility and shown every step of our brewing process. You will also learn about Legion’s history and what matters most to us. At the end of the tour, you will be guided through a beer tasting so that you may taste the fruits of our labor. Afterwards, feel free to hang out with us in the taproom, grab some food, and enjoy some live music!
